Another Huge Completely Random Post

Sorry for the incredibly long post! I have been trying to post since Sunday, but our internet was being a little weird and it wouldn't let me upload pictures. Life is going great for us here in Lancaster! Time is flying by like crazy! Elizabeth will be seven months this week! I just can't believe it! Anyway, here is my usual complete randomness...

Jon let Elizabeth play with his Banjo the other day. She loved it!!

We got Elizabeth this dress at Baby's-R-Us. She's a big girl (over the 90th percentile in both height and weight), but we couldn't believe that this 24-month size dress actually fit her!

I'm convinced that Elizabeth would probably win the first-place ribbon in the "worst morning hair in the world" contest (if such contest actually existed) . Long gone are the days when I didn't have to fix her hair. It's now an absolute necessity!

Here are a few pics of her crazy morning hair (and the funny morning faces that go with it):

Who knows what she's doing in this picture!

This is what she looks like when she gets excited about a toy I'm giving to her:

She's been sticking her tounge out a lot lately...and leaving it out. It's funny to watch her fascination with it...

These are old pics, but she's actually smiling in them, so I decided to post them. It's quite the rarity to catch her smiling on film!

We went for a family outing to Apollo Park (a park in Lancaster) a few weeks ago. Elizabeth really enjoyed looking at the lake and the ducks.

Lately (although these are older pictures), she has really loved to be tossed in the air and caught (of course...why would we not catch her?). It's a plus for me to...I get a really great bicep workout!

The following three pictures are things that I like to refer to as my "Lifesavers". When nothing else in the world will make Elizabeth happy, I simply pull out one of these tricks out of my small hat and life changes instantly for the better.

Lifesaver #1: Baby Beethoven

This is probably her absolute favorite. Some people claim that letting your baby watch T.V. at such a young age is an absolute no-no because it can limit brain development. That may be true, however, I figure that a little T.V. in moderation won't be detrimental to her. (Just like a few chocolate-chip cookies every now and then won't cause cardiac arrest).

Lifesaver #2: Violet's House

I simply have to show Elizabeth a glimpse of the cover of this book and she starts squirming and squealing in anticipation. Besides the fortunate fact that Elizabeth loves this book, I absolutely despise the thing! After I started dreaming about it and quoting it in my mind every blasting second of the day, I came to the conclusion that I should probably purchase more books for her to get excited about. So I bought her some that I really thought that she would love...she didn't even take a second glance at them. She's officially addicted - she just wants "Violet's House"! I guess I shouldn't be complaining...it's not like she is addicted to drugs or anything of that nature! :)

Lifesaver #3: My Cell Phone

I'm pretty sure that all of you Mom's out there would agree that just about every baby love's cell phones!

Here she is, reading "Violet's House".

It's really difficult to get her dressed these days. She squirms like crazy and ends up doing a lot of face-plants. I sometimes wonder how babies survive babyhood....

Elizabeth is one of those really lucky babies to have a lot of grandparents. She has two sets of grandparents (my parents and Jon's parents), two sets of great-grandparents (my mom and dad's parents), and two great-grandma's (Jon's two grandma's). The following two pictures are of Elizabeth and Jon's Grandma Norma. We went to visit her last Saturday (she lives about an hour away from us, in Glendaled, CA).

Well, here's another cute picture of our little cutie to end this incredibly long post. Thanks for reading! :)

Cute post Andrea, I love your commentaries! Elizabeth is getting so big and I love all the faces she makes. (The morning hair was my favorite) It's so true about the cell phones. I got a call from Jen Morrey last week, well not quite. When I picked up, all I could hear was cute little Ethan on the other line. What a silly guy!

PS you look fabulous by the way!!

Is it me or is that Violet's House book super huge? Where did you get it? It looks like one that Chloee would love!

I love all of the pics of Elizabeth. I am so envious of her hair, beautiful, dark and long. It has even been cut too! Unbelievable!
