It's been a while since I last posted...and it may be a long while after this post that I write again. Jon and I are currently in the process of packing up our town-home and transferring everything we own to a storage shed. By Saturday afternoon, we should officially be moved into my in-laws home. We are really grateful that they are allowing us to crash their "empty-nest" party for a few months in an effort for us to save money for the closing costs for our new home that we purchased. I know that it won't be an easy cake-walk for them, with having a toddler and a pregnant woman (crazy hormones included) roaming around their abode. But we are truly grateful for the opportunity to live there, we'll try to make it as easy as possible on them!
I forgot how much I loathed moving. I just can't stand packing up boxes and realizing how much unnecessary junk that I have lying around the house. Worse still, realizing that it's precisely the unnecessary junk that I just can't muster up the courage to get rid of. Maybe I'll really need that old 1990 camera held together with duct tape one day...who knows? Nah, in reality, I'm getting better at tossing old things. In fact, my husband just took an entire car load of "junk" to the Goodwill last night. He was visibly choked up with tears in his eyes when he returned, telling me that he just about started crying when he drove away from our hefty pile of memorabilia. Yeah, it's a good thing that I didn't go, I would have lost it for sure and ended up stuffing everything back in the car. I can't wait for Sunday morning, when all of this moving will be merely a horrible nightmare.
We are really excited to move into our new home. If any of you are interested in seeing the floor plan, click here. For a virtual tour, click here. It will be really nice to have a brand new home just in time to welcome in our brand new baby. Speaking of which, we get to find out the gender of on April 8th. We can't wait! :)
Okay, now for the good stuff. My family came to visit for an entire week last week during USU's Spring Break. It was really nice to have them here and we can hardly wait to see them again. As usual, I didn't take many pictures. However, my Dad was kind enough to email me a load of them. Here are just a few:

I try to do Lizzie's hair really cute sometimes, but when I do it doesn't last more than a few hours. So I usually tend to stick to the quick and easy hairstyles. Here was one of the times that I tried to do it cute. She refused to look at the camera...
Lizzie and Mikey with Uncle Craig (my brother). Lizzie was scared of him at first, as you can tell by her stiff-as-a-board look. She eventually warmed up to him though. :)
Lizzie loves my sister, Alyssa.
Lizzie and Mikey playing playdough with my Mom...
Lizzie sat like this on my Dad for just about 2 hours, literally. She never does that for me in the middle of the day...she must like my Dad's "naturally warm pillow". :)
Lizzie and Mikey are watching "Baby Beethoven" on the laptop...they both can't get enough of that show.
Playing Lego's with my Dad...
We played a few games of Rummycube, my all-time favorite game. We also played a few games of Phase 10 and Chess, although I learned that playing Chess with my Dad isn't as fun as playing against Jon. Jon is usually pretty nice and he gives me little hints along the way (in the form of grunts) letting me know that the move I planned on making was a poor choice. My Dad uttered no grunts whatsoever and he usually won within a few turns. No, not fun at all... :)
My Dad, chasing the kids around Tara's house...
Finally, the best part of their visit (no, not really). They brought Turkey Steaks from Utah. They don't sell them here in California and I really love those things (Jon loves them a lot more than I do). We cooked up a huge bunch of them and had a feast. It was so delicious!!! In fact, my mouth is watering just thinking about that deluctable dish...
Anyway, that's all. I'll try to post as much as possible over the next few months, but it might not be as regular (if you can even call posting once a month a regular thing...).

I love the house you guys getting! Is it KB-homes that are around 40th west? Take it easy with moving, do not stress out too much! We miss you, guys! Lizzie's hair is so cute, I can not do anything with Nina's hair, she just takes all clips right off.
Good luck with the move! It's fun to have a new house :) Craig would look scary with red eyes j/k :) Lizzie is getting so big! I bet she will be a great big sister!
Oh, packing and moving are some of the worst things in the entire world! At least you get a cute new house as a reward. The virtual tour is awesome, your house is awesome! You'll love it, I'm sure. I love all the pictures, Lizzie's hair is darling when she lets you do it. And how fun that your family came to visit for Spring Break! I bet they loved enjoying the California weather with you. Can't wait to hear if Lizzie's getting a younger sister or brother! :)
Hi! I love the new house. I'm dying to know where it is located! We would love to move back to Cali but I have never heard of a home in that state at that price! Spread the good news! ;-)
