My grade in "Blogging" = F

I was under the impression that having the internet at my fingertips would motivate me to be a better blogger. You know, the kind of blogger who posts daily updates and even the mere thought of going a whole entire two weeks without posting would be overwhelmingly frightening. Well, I obviously thought wrong. Fine with me, I'll graciously accept my "F" in blogging. And rather than attempt to conjure up any dull excuses for neglecting our blog, I'll choose to be honest - I'm lazy. Pure and simple! Enough said. :)

Anyway, on with the pictures. As has become my blogging routine (since I can't seem to make myself post pictures more than twice a month), a bunch of random pictures with their accomponying explanations will follow. I do sincerely apologize for the complete lack of creativity in my blogging efforts. Perhaps one day I'll go out on a limb and try something really crazy - like color-coordinated text, or even video clips! (But don't get your hopes up...I'm not one for making promises I don't intend to keep.) :)

Jonathan's cousin, Cynthia, sent Elizabeth a package of really cute clothes a few weeks ago. Included was this darling little purple dress.
Elizabeth's favorite color is purple (she told me that herself, I promise).

I'm not really sure what to do. I have noticed that Elizabeth looks a little drunk in a few of the pictures that I have taken over the past few weeks. I don't know how that could be possible! Jonathan and I have been hammering the Word of Wisdom in her little brain since day one. She should know by now that alcohol isn't good for the body. Perhaps this is her way of rebelling? I think so. She probably sneaks out to the dumpster and scrounges up half-empty beer cans while I'm taking care of my business in the you-know-where. What else could explain the following pictures?

Do you ever wonder what babies think about all day? I sure do. It's still a mystery to me. Elizabeth looks perplexed quite often.

It's those red cups, again. She can't get enough of them! Cheap thrills...I love it!

We decided that Elizabeth his probably intimidated by our real piano, so we bought her one just her size. She loves to play it!

(Or does she just think that it tastes really good?)

Lately, Elizabeth has HATED it when I leave her alone for even a second. She forces herself to cry (it sounds like a dog howling) and she makes funny faces like the ones shown below. I might be a horrible mom, but sometimes I can't help but laugh at her when she's like this! :)

Where's Elizabeth? We went on a walk one day and it was kind of nippy outside. So I covered her completely up except for her face. She looked like a totally different baby! The last little picture cracks me up...

Our little Pink Jedi

We bought Elizabeth this little toy train. She loves it! It has little balls that spin around and around. (And it also plays that annoying music that repeats itself over and over again.)

Lately, Elizabeth has LOVED reading books! She loves the book "Goodnight Moon". I have read the thing so many times that I can recite it with my eyes closed. But every time I read it to her, it's as if she's never heard it before in her entire life. Go figure...

Elizabeth's friend, Rodney, came over last week. They had a lot of fun together!

Little Rodney is showing Elizabeth all of the tricks that he can do with his binky. (Elizabeth probably wants to steal it, since I got rid of all of hers a few weeks ago).

The two friends bonded while Elizabeth scratched his back...

and Rodney gave her compliments on her nicely developing biceps.

Here she is, practically drowning in her sea of cheap toys. Oh, the life of an only child.

We decided that we needed a toy box for all of her toys. So, we bought a cheap one from IKEA (I love that place). I painted the wooden frame purple (like Elizabeth's room...it's her favorite color, you know), and Jonathan put it together. The original toy box was a simple rectangular box. However, Jon wasn't satisfied with the simplicity of it. So he went to Home Depot and purchased wheels, two side handles, hinges, and a top knob.

Here's the completed ensamble. Not to shabby, if I do say so myself. :)

Well, there you have it (again). Thanks for visiting! :)

Yay! Finally some pictures! I love all of them. I could look at them all day! Mikey loves looking at his cousin. The toy box turned out really well. We'll have to borrow the idea!

Andrea you are so hilarious.....I would have to say that I'm ashamed of Elizabeth "drinking" so much!! And at such a young age! But you know....noticing her with those HUGE red cups, maybe it's filled to the rim.... I'm totally just kidding, an idea I have, is that she probably doesn't like the flash on the camera, unless you don't use the flash, then maybe your mother's intuition is correct :) lets hope not though! I love the purple dress on her too! Purple is my favorite color on a girl, given the fact that I hate the color pink, but actually some shades are really pretty :) It would be so fun to see her one day and maybe she and Seth could meet. Seth still doesn't know what to think about babies.....Well, this is probably hands down the LONGEST comment you've ever had.....maybe I'll publish it into a book for you and mail it to your house. SORRY for rambling on!! Love all the pictures, keep them coming!

I thought I was going to die from laughter reading your commentary of the pictures. The jedi, drunk Elizabeth and those hilarious ones of her scratching the friend's back and him "complimenting" her on her biceps. Your writing is SOOOOO funny, I love it!!!

I can't get enough of the 'drunk' pictures of Elizabeth! Tell her to lay off the booze, at least on Sundays. Loved the whole post, cute pics!

Hi Andrea --

It was so much fun to look at your blog and see your cute daughter == she is sooooo cute!!! Wow, Uncle Will and I are so jealous of your parents -- we would like some grandchildren -- hopefully it isn't too many years away! :)

Well, keep bloging, and I'll keep checking back!

That's funny. Ethan also loves Good Night Moon, so much that we can recite it too. It actually helped us get through church today. Only 6 1/2 more months until nursery!!
